Visiting Norwalk raced to an 18-4 lead after one quarter of action Tuesday, creating a deficit Perry was never able to erase in suffering a 46-36 non-conference loss.
The Jayettes (1-7) refused to yield and fought back by scoring 10 of the nest 13 points, halving the margin at 21-14.
The Warriors (3-4) held a 26-17 lead at the intermission and kept Perry scoreless for the first six minutes of the second half. Sophomore Molly Lutmer scored six quick points in the final moments of the frame to keep Perry within striking distance and trailing 36-25 entering the fourth period.

The teams began trading points in the last eight minutes of the game, with Perry unable to put a run together to close the gap that had existed since the opening eight minutes as the guests held on for the win.
Lutmer led the Jayettes — who hit 8-of-12 free throws in the game — with 21 points. Grace Stewart added 12 points, with three points from Isabel Saemisch the only other scoring from the hosts.
Miranda Huges had 12 points and Bren Moritz 10 for Norwalk, who finished 9-of-15 at the foul line. Courtney Westvold and Shae Campbell scored six points apiece, with Gianna Bellizzi and Tori LeQuatte adding five each while Jayden Lammers had two points.
Campbell had four assists and four steals, LeQuatte and Westvold five rebounds each and Moritz three blocked shots.
Perry visits ADM Friday and Winterset Tuesday before wrapping up their pre-holiday schedule by hosting Ogden Dec. 21.
