The members of Nu Alpha Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International
welcomed Kay Vanags to their December meeting.

Vanags is the daughter of the late Darlene Pitsenbarger, a long-time Nu Alpha Gamma member. She shared memories of her mother along with mementos and pictures.

“Mom loved teaching as well as this group,” Vanags said, “so it is only fitting that the family share her memorial money with you to help with a scholarship to a future woman educator.”

She then presented the group with a check for $1,000.

As a result, applications are currently being sought from a college sophomore or junior majoring in education for a scholarship in for the fall 2025 term from the Nu Alpha Gamma Chapter.

Applicants must have graduated from a Dallas County high school or be a current
resident of Dallas County and be majoring in a B.S. or B.S. education program.

For more information or to receive an application, contact Deb Irving at 515-238-9660,
641-524-5278 or debtaylorirving@gmail.com. The deadline for completed applications is
April 1, 2025.
