Ankeny-based Des Moines Asphalt and Paving has been milling and prepping Galveston Court this week prior to the roadway’s repaving. The road provides access to the Perry Municipal Airport from Iowa Highway 141 west of Perry.
“We’re very excited for the airport road to be redone,” said Perry City Administrator Sven Peterson told the Perry City Council at Monday night’s meeting. “It’s one we’ve been waiting on for a bit to have all that construction done.”
The Perry Airport Commission also reviewed the project’s grading and paving timeline at its July meeting.
