The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a flood warning until Wednesday morning for the North Raccoon River near Perry or from the Greene-Dallas County line to Adel.
At 4:15 a.m. Sunday, the stage was 14.3 feet or 0.7 feet below flood stage, which is 15.0 feet.
No flooding is occurring, and minor flooding is forecast as the river rises to flood stage Sunday evening and continues rising to 16.0 feet or 1.0 feet above flood stage Monday evening before beginning to fall to below flood stage Wednesday morning.
At 16.0 feet, 180th Lane west of Minburn will be affected by flood waters.
If you encounter a flooded area, turn around and find an alternate route. Turn around. Do not drown.
