The rain was steady but so was the crowd at the Friends of Washington Township spring fundraising breakfast Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Breakfast fare included pancakes and eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage and juice and coffee.
Members of the class of 1958, the last to graduate from the Washington Township Consolidated School, are now in their mid-70s, and their numbers are strong but diminishing, said the event organizer.
Proceeds from the breakfast help support ongoing restoration efforts at the school, such as the barn-themed remodeling of the room just north of the lunchroom.
Next on the school’s activity agenda will be the fifth annual tractor ride slated for June 25.
