The Frio ice cream store opened for the season Thursday, with regular business hours daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Staffing the counter on opening day were Dorothy Stolz of Perry and Dakota Sheer of Rippey, with owner Tom Maxwell on hand to welcome local ice cream lovers. Stolz served her first ice cream cone of the season: a one-dip chocolate chip cookie dough in a sugar cone.
This year’s flavors are imported from Picket Fence Creamery near Woodward and also include Dutch Letter, Frio’s flavor, and Very Berry, Mocha, Chocolate Malt, Thin Mint, Bubble Gum, Orange Pineapple, White Chocolate Raspberry and Caramel.
