Very little surprise was registered recently when No. 3 Panorama was given the top seed in the Class 2A Region 6 girls basketball bracket.
Also of little shock was the familiarity the 12 teams all have with each other, as most will have met at least once during the regular season.
Play begins Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. with Van Meter at West Central Valley, Colfax-Mingo at Pleasantville, NW Webster at Madrid and Woodward-Granger at Ogden. Winners play on the road Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.
Panorama (18-1) awaits the Van Meter/WCV winner, Martensdale-St. Marys the P’ville/C-M victor, No. 15 Des Moines Christian the NW Webster/Madrid survivor and Earlham the victor of the Ogden/W-G contest.
Regional Semifinals will be held at Panora and at DMC (Urbandale) Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. with the Regional Final to be held at Woodward Feb. 19 at 7 p.m.
