Perry students in third grade through 11th grade will begin taking the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) tests Monday, and the school district’s leaders sent out a Sunday cheer to the parents of these students.
“Please encourage your student to give their best on the test,” said the statement from the Perry Community School District teaching staff and administrators.
The ISASP includes individual tests in English language arts (ELA), mathematics and science. According to the state, the summative assessments measure student achievement, growth and college and career readiness based on the Iowa Core Standards.
