A Grand Junction man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly harassing an Adel woman.
Wayne William Kafer, 41, of 301 Ninth St. S., Grand Junction, was charged with third-degree harassment.
According to court records, Kafer was “advised by law enforcement on Sept. 2, 2024, to cease communication with the victim,” but he allegedly “continued to repeatedly call, leave multiple voice mails, mail hand-written letters to the victim and other family members as well as send flowers to the victim’s place of work without legitimate purpose, causing the victim to be annoyed and alarmed,” according to court records.
A warrant for Kafer’s arrest was ordered Sept. 12 in Dallas County District Court and served Sept. 18. Kafer was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a pretrial conference Oct. 4 in Dallas County District Court.
