Granger man vents rage at Granger residence

A Granger man was arrested Sunday morning after allegedly damaging property at a Granger residence.

Colton James Martin, 28, of 2205 Court St., Granger, was charged with disorderly conduct-fighting or violent behavior.

The incident began shortly before midnight Saturday at a residence in the 2200 block of Court Street, where officers of the Granger Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with the victims, who told the officers that “their homeless brother showed up at the residence and broke their window with a flower pot, kicked their front door, causing damage to the door, and threw a cooler at the window,” according to court records.

The incident was captured on security camera, according to court records.

Martin is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a pretrial confenrence June 17 in Dallas County District Court.

Martin was convicted of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness in 2022 in Dallas County District Court.
