  • A deputy assisted a motorist on Kendrick Street in Scranton.
  • Kayleigh Harrah, 21, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for possession of drug paraphernalia and first-offense possession of marijuana.
  • Beth Laurent, 47, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for first-offense domestic abuse assault.
  • A deputy investigated an aggressive dog in the 900 block of N. 11th Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an arrest in the 500 block of S. Wilson Street in Jefferson.
  • Mikayla Wenger, 22, of Grimes was booked into the jail for a violation of a protective order.
  • Bradley Beadle, 47, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for first-offense domestic abuse assault.

March 13, 2018

  • A deputy investigated a noise complaint in the 100 block of E. Hager Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated a theft in the 1700 block of 235th Street.
  • Nicole Vote, 24, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a Hamilton County arrest warrant for third-degree harassment and false report to a public entity.
  • Michael Heard, 57, of Des Moines was booked into the jail for fifth-degree theft and failure to appear for sentencing.
  • Adam Gildea, 39, of Stanhope was booked into the jail for dissemination and exhibition of obscene materials to minors.
  • A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street near Grand Junction.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check on U Avenue near the Grand Junction football field.
  • A deputy investigated a verbal domestic in the 400 block of Harding Street in Churdan.

  • Keith Long, 50, of Paton was booked into the jail for possession of drug paraphernalia and first-offense possession of methamphetamine.
  • Christopher Laurent, 48, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for two counts of fifth-degree criminal mischief.
  • A deputy investigated suspicious person trying to sell aerial photos in the 1400 block of J Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated suspicious persons trying to sell aerial photos in the 900 block of D Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a fireworks complaint in the 300 block of Hendricks Street in Rippey.

  • A deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 700 block of Grant Street in Scranton.
  • A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on 220th Street and S Avenue.
  • A deputy tried to located cattle out on 230th Street near S Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a suspicious person trying to sell aerial photos in the 900 block of 230th Street.

  • A deputy investigated a suspicious person trying to sell aerial photos in the 900 block of 260th Street.

March 16, 2018

  • Kaleb Lentz, 23, of Scranton was booked into the jail for a probation violation.
  • A deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on E Avenue near 310th Street. Kyle Chalfant, 22, of Guthrie Center was operating a tractor with a grain cart. A northbound vehicle entered his lane, and Chalfant took the ditch. There was little damage to the tractor and wagon. The second vehicle left the scene. Chalfant said he took the ditch to avoid a head-on collision.
  • A deputy investigated a theft in the 700 block of E. Main Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated a civil dispute in the 800 block of N. 11th Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated a single vehicle in the ditch on the 144 diagonal near V Avenue.
  • Janice Johnston, 62, of Rippey lost control of her 2015 Ford Taurus on the snow and entered the ditch. There was no damage to the vehicle.
  • A deputy investigated a single-vehicle rollover on 210th Street near C Avenue. Harold Everman, 71, of Jefferson lost control of his 1998 Jeep Cherokee. Everman lost control of his vehicle on the snow, which entered the ditch and rolled onto its top. The vehicle was estimated to be a total loss. The Greene County EMS and Scranton Fire responded to the scene. There were no injuries.
  • A deputy investigated a single-vehicle rollover on W Avenue near 260th Street. Marjory Krueger, 36, of Jefferson lost control of her 2006 Mountaineer, which rolled into the north ditch. The vehicle was a total loss. There were no injuries.
  • A deputy investigated a single vehicle in the ditch on 130th Street near Q Avenue. Kelsey Hatfield, 26, of Paton lost control of her 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, which entered the ditch. There was no damage to the vehicle.
  • A deputy investigated a unoccupied vehicle in the ditch on 265th Street and R Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a single-vehicle rollover on 130th Street and N Avenue. Caitlin Peterson, 29, of Fort Dodge lost control of her 2002 Chrysler Town and Country van, which rolled onto its side. The vehicle was a total loss. There were no injuries. The Greene County EMS, Churdan Fire and Jefferson Fire responded to the scene.

  • A deputy investigated an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch on 130th Street near S Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a driving complaint in the 800 block of High Street in Scranton.
  • A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a fight at the Wild Rose Casino.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1000 block of W. Washington Street in Jefferson.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1900 block of 305th Street.
  • A deputy assisted with an unruly child in the 100 block of E. Hager Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated a complaint of snow piled in the roadway on 12th and 13th streets in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on M Avenue just north of 220th Street.
  • A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on 130th Street near N Avenue.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 700 block of Walnut Street in Scranton.

  • A deputy investigated dirt bikes in the 1000 block of Stanton Street in Scranton.
  • A deputy investigated a child-custody dispute in the 1900 block of 305th Street.
  • A deputy investigated a dog bite in the 1100 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton.

  • A deputy investigated a theft in the 200 block of W. Paton Street in Paton.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 800 block of Stanton Street in Scranton.
  • Amber Benavidas, 25, of Grand Junction was booked into the jail for assault causing bodily injury.
  • A deputy assisted with a grass fire in the 1200 block of First Street in Rippey. Grand Junction Fire and Rippey Fire responded to the fire. The grass fire was caused by a burn pile that spread to the grass.
  • A deputy assisted with getting livestock back in the fence in the 1800 block of 305th Street.
  • A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an arrest on N Avenue near 257th Street.

March 20, 2018

  • Brandon Sullivan, 23, of Ankeny was booked into the jail for driving while barred.
  • Joseph Winch, 25, of Fort Dodge was booked into the jail for open container, driving while barred and first-offense OWI.
  • A deputy tried to located cattle out on 330th near E Avenue.
  • A deputy conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in Scranton and arrested Travis Straight, 24, of Scranton for driving while revoked and no insurance.

March 21, 2018

  • A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department an arrest in the 200 block of W. Clark Street.
  • John Roberts, 19, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for carrying weapons, first-offense possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A deputy investigated an assault in the 700 block of Eagle Street in Scranton.
  • A deputy investigated a domestic in the 100 block of E. Hager Street in Grand Junction.
  • The Greene County Sheriff and an Iowa State Patrol Trooper investigated a male reportedly going around Scranton and looking in windows. Shawn Gifford, 27, of Jefferson was located and arrested on two arrest warrants for failure to appear.

  • A deputy investigated an identity-theft complaint in the 1000 block of Maple Street in Scranton.
  • A deputy investigated a theft in the 700 block of E. Main Street in Grand Junction.

  • A deputy and the Greene County Sheriff assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an unruly subject at the Greene County Medical Center.
  • The Greene County Sheriff investigated a 100-pound cylinder found in the ditch on K Avenue just north of 190th Street. The tank was full of anhydrous. The tank was emptied and disposed of.

  • A deputy investigated a civil issue in the 600 block of Third Street in Rippey.
  • A deputy investigated a single-vehicle accident on X Avenue near 185th Street. Hector Castaneda, 18, of Perry lost control of his 2006 Hyndai Sonata, causing around $4,000 in damage. Hector was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
  • A deputy investigated a phone scam in the 900 block of Hill Street in Churdan.
  • A deputy investigated a company selling aerial photos in the 1700 block of Quaker Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a violation of a no-contact order in the 700 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton.
