Guthrie County Sheriff’s Report Jan. 17-24

January 18, 2019

  • Kaitlyn Hernandez of Panora turned herself in to the sheriff’s office to serve a two-day mittimus for first-ffense OWI.
  • Sheryl Palmer of Jamaica and Curtis Jurgensen of Woodward were arrested in Perry following a disturbance in Jamaica. Palmer was charged on charges of first-degree harassment, domestic abuse assault while displaying a weapon and disorderly conduct. Jurgensen was charged with first-degree harassment and accessory to a misdemeanor.  Both Palmer and Jurgensen are being held in the Guthrie County Jail. Palmer is being held on a $2,000 cash bond. Jurgensen is being held on $1,000 cash or surety bond. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s office was assisted by the Woodward Police Department, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and the Perry Police Department.

January 19, 2019

  • Corey Dickson of Audubon was arrested on a bench warrant for first-offense OWI. Dickson was released on his own recognizance following an appearance before the magistrate.

January 20, 2019

  • Nicholas Miller of Des Moines turned himself in to the sheriff’s office to serve a seven-day mittimus for second-offense OWI.

January 21, 2019

  • A juvenile male from Stuart was referred to juvenile court on a charge of fifth-degree theft. The charges stemmed from multiple vehicle burglaries in Adair and Guthrie counties.

January 22, 2019

  • No activity reported.

January 23, 2019

  • Conar Hornsby of Jefferson and Samantha Henderson of Jefferson were arrested following a traffic stop in Stuart. Hornsby was charged with third-offense possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment. Henderson was charged with first-offense possession of marijuana, first offense possession of psilocybin mushrooms, first-offense possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment. Henderson also has a pending charge of first-offense OWI. Hornsby is being held on a $2,000 cash or surety bond and Henderson posted a $5,000 surety bond. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s office was assisted by the Stuart Police Department and the Iowa State Patrol.

  • Mark Doyle of De Soto turned himself into the sheriff’s office to serve a portion of a six-day mittimus for Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense.
  • Stephanie Cooley of Guthrie Center was arrested on a warrant for Pre-Trial Release Violation. Cooley’s original charge was for Methamphetamine Distribution. At the time of this press release, Cooley is being held on a $50,000 cash or surety bond.
