Due to personal reasons, Fred Hubbell will not be able to attend the meet and greet scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Saturday at the Perry Golf and Country Club, the Perry-Area Democrats announced Friday.
Standing in for Hubbell will be Jack Hatch, a 30-year veteran of the Iowa legislature and the 2014 Democratic gubernatorial candidate. Hatch said he is looking forward to visiting with local citizens about the privatization of Medicaid and other issues of importance to local voters, the Perry-Area Democrats said.
The Hubbell campaign said it will reschedule a meet-and-greet event in Perry.
The Perry Golf and Country Club is located at 352 330th St. in rural Perry.
