Few teams in Iowa are as likely as familiar with each other as Perry and Algona, who regularly met several times each season.

The Bulldogs were at the MCB Pool Tuesday for the third of their four meets involving the Jayettes this season, with host Perry posting an 84-69 win. The teams see each other again Oct. 25 when both visit Carroll.

The foursome of Jenna Nelson, Emily Dowd, Lilly Riley and Maddie McDevitt were second, in 2 minutes, 22.79 seconds, in the 200 medley relay, with Nelson second in the 200 IM in 2:53.59. Perry won each of the nine other races at the meet.

Quin Mahler-Moreno won the 200 free in 2:13.09 and 100 butterfly in 1:08.77, with Sophia McDevitt first (1:11.03) and Maddie McDevitt third (1:27.91) in the 100 backstroke while Sophia also claimed the 100 breaststroke 1:22.31 in her first varsity swim in the event. Dowd was fourth, touching in 1:40.56.

Zoe Hibbert was first in both the 50 free (27.33) and 100 free (1:01.26), with Riley second in the former (28.64) and Nelson second in the latter (1:07.3).

The lone personal-best from a Jayette came in the 500 free when Dowd trimmed 4.34 seconds to touch third in 6:34.72. Riley was first to the wall in the event, finishing in 6:09.93.

Sophia McDevitt, Nelson, Hibbert and Mahler-Moreno claimed the 200 free relay in 1:57.04, with Riley, Hibbert, Mahler-Moreno and Sophia McDevitt winning the 400 free relay in 4:09.63.

Perry will be in action just once next week, a Thursday visit to Fort Dodge.
