
BAXTER — The Perry girls earned 41 points to finish seventh in a 12-team field Thursday at the Lady Bolt Relays. North Polk won the team title with 107 points, with Madrid second at 96 while 74 points from Nevada garnered third place.
Senior Grace Stewart ran a personal best 11 minute, 38.08 second 3000 to place second in the event. She was fifth in the 800 in 2:48.49.
The foursome of Isabel Saemisch, Jasmine Shriver, Sid Vancil and Quinn Whiton placed in each of the four relays in which they competed.
The quartet sped to victory in the sprint medley in 2:01.25 and also claimed first place in the distance medley after crossing in 4:42.59.
The grouping used a 4:38.92 clocking to finish third in the 4×400, with a season-best effor of 2:02.31 in the 4×200 placing the foursome fifth.
While not scoring, Kennedy Tunink recorded a personal-best throw of 81 feet in the discus, with Bailey Piper’s push of over 24 feet (exact shot put distances were incorrectly recorded at the site) also a personal best.
The Perry girls will be in action Tuesday at ADM, with a visit to Ballard on tap for Friday.
