BONDURANT — A 65-38 win for the Perry girls Friday was their 14 victory of the year while the loss consigned Bondurant-Farrar to a winless regular season.

Perry raised their record to 14-6 overall and 8-5 in Raccoon River Conference play with the lopsided win. The Jayettes were 56-14 winners when the teams met Jan. 13.

B-F (0-21, 0-14) has only one senior and one junior on their roster, neither of whom see substantial playing time.

The Jayettes were off to a 15-5 lead after one quarter, with the lead doubling after the guests entered break with a 37-17 advantage. Perry used the second half to give reserve players time on floor but still widened their lead to 55-23 after three frames en route to the victory.

Perry sparkled from the foul line in the win, sinking 18-of-20. Grace Marburger was 12-of-12 at the line in leading all scorers with 21 points. Jo Diw scored 12 points and Molly Lutmer 11, with Grace Stewart adding eight points and Emma Olejniczak seven. Isabel Saemisch and Gabby West capped the scoring with three points apiece.

Lutmer made three 3-pointers for Perry, with Stewart splashing two treys and Marburger and West one each.

Taylor Berggren had nine points and Kylee Seitzer eight for the hosts. Abby Hall and Emma DeCasta had five points apiece, Emily Deardon and Lacey Beck four each, with Lexi Bedier adding three points.

Perry hosts Carroll at 1 p.m. today in a RRC co-ed set rescheduled from Jan. 20.

The Jayettes will resume action Feb. 18, when they will host the winner of Wednesday’s Class 4A Region 2 First Round game between Carroll and host Denison-Schleswig. Saturday’s winner advances to the Region 4 Final, to be hosted by the highest-remaining seed Feb. 21. Webster City, Storm Lake and No. 2 Nevada are on the top half of the bracket. All games will begin at 7 p.m.
