  • An officer located an open door at 1004 E. Lincoln Way.
  • Officers removed a bat from the residence at 406 E. State St.
  • Teresa Gaver requested an officer at 1000 W. Adams St., #6, for several men removing property from her apartment. An officer arrived and found no one present or any evidence of the reported theft.
  • A caller advised of a parking issue in the 300 block of N. Vine Street. The vehicle in question was gone when officers arrived.
  • Dustin Henson reported a male in a vehicle parked in the parking lot at 106 W. Washington St. was throwing a large number of bloody tissues out of the vehicle. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived. The officers will work with the business to review video of the parking lot in order to identify the litterer. The officers cleaned up the refuse.
  • A caller reported a male parked in the 100 block of S. Wilson Avenue was tearing the insides of the vehicle out and throwing them on the ground. Officers located the vehicle and learned it belonged to the employee of a local business, who was working on the vehicle during his break.
  • Yerson Salvin requested officers at 401 N. Chestnut St. for an argument between himself and his mother. Officers worked to defuse the issue and separated the two for the remainder of the evening.
  • Lauren Schulte reported receiving threatening and unwanted text messages from a known male. An officer called the male and advised him to end the unwanted contact with Schulte.
  • Officers responded to 202 S. High St. for a civil child custody issue.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
