Jerry was born Feb. 5, 1958, in Perry, Iowa, to Charles “Bud” and Renee (Lisle) Erwin.

He worked as an over-the-road truck driver and enjoyed every minute of it. He loved that his job took him all over the continental U.S. because he was able to see and visit so many unique and interesting places.

Jerry enjoyed life to the fullest. He liked to ride his motorcycle, fishing, attend rodeos and riding bareback horses in his younger years. He also loved a good party and was a colorful storyteller.

He always had to have some kind of meat and potatoes for food, otherwise it wasn’t considered a real meal.

Jerry was incredibly loved by his family, and he loved his family just as much. He was the greatest Papa/Papo anyone could ask for.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bud; grandparents, Dean and Gladys Lisle; grandchildren, Memphis Ripperger and Mercedes Pickett; and brother, Jack Erwin.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Lorrie; children, Alison (Jeff) Coffman, Stacy (Travis) Trushcheff, Chisum (Talena) Dudney, Brandi Wenger, Jay D. Wenger and Candi Wenger; mother, Renee Willenwaber; brothers, Chuck (Judy) Erwin and Rick (Sam) Erwin; sisters, Kimberly (Jim) Bahman Engstrom, Donna (Jim) McGreen, Ann Marie Harm and Christy (Randy) Barton; sister-in-law, Joan Erwin; previous wife, Tammy Simmerman; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
