John Patrick Perdue, 76, a longtime resident of Perry, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Perry on Friday, July 5 at 10 a.m.
John was born Oct. 11, 1947, in Estherville, Iowa, to Alice and Forrest Perdue.
John was the news director at KDLS radio in Perry for many years. Most recently, he worked part-time at Dollar Tree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Forrest Perdue.
He is survived by his sister, Julie (Wayne) Wilson of Des Moines; niece, Tess Carrigan of Eagle Grove; nephew, Joe (Samantha) Carrigan of Columbia, Maryland; great-nephew, Carter Bjorklund; and two great-nieces, Kiersten Carrigan and Madison Carrigan.
Memorials may be sent to St. Pat’s Church or the Racoon River Pet Rescue in Perry.
