Perry Hy-Vee Store Director Scott Johnson will retire at the end of February after a mere four months at the head of the Perry store.

Perry Hy-Vee Store Director Scott Johnson will retire at the end of February after a 40-year career with the employee-owned grocery chain and a brief four-month tenure in Perry.

Johnson took up his Perry post Oct. 14, 2019. It was his 10th store and his fourth as a store director. He replaced Store Director Matt Rohe, who started at the Perry store in January 2017.

Hy-Vee employees told ThePerryNews.com they did not foresee Johnson’s departure and were surprised by the news.

Effective Monday, Feb. 10, the Perry Hy-Vee will cease round-the-clock service and will be open from 6 a.m. until midnight seven days a week.
