Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of arrangements for Karen Sue Garreans, 64, of Perry (Angus).
Karen died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16 at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 at Hastings Funeral Home, with her family present from 6-8 p.m.
Karen is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Sandra (Jeremy Gohn) Garreans of Perry, Toby (Paul) Bishop of Jefferson; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Terry (Darlene) Kalkas of Perry, Ark., and John Kalkas of Shenandoah, Iowa; four sisters, Joan Thuman of Perry, Judy (Lonnie) Longcor of Oakland, Calif., Becky Evans of Nashville, Tenn., and Pat (Les) Buffington of Shenandoah.
Memorials in Karen’s name may be left at Hastings Funeral Home.
