Kis will enjoy a festival of fun at the eighth annual Kids Fest Saturday, May 4 at the Perry Public Library.

The Perry Public Library’s Kids Fest will return Saturday, June 4 after a two-year gap.

The seventh annual Kids Fest was held in June 2019 but was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Big plans are in the works for the June event, according to Perry Public Library Director Mary Murphy, including such attractions as bubbles, foam cannon, balloon twister, dunk tank and petting zoo.

Additional activities will feature the Perry Rotary Club putting green and quill writing at the Hometown Heritage at the Carnegie Library Museum. The library will host a boat-making activity, including testing the boats’ seaworthiness on a duck pond.

The Perry Volunteer Fire Department will host a lunch fundraiser, with $1 buying a pork tenderloin sandwich or hot dog along with chips, granola bar and water.

The Kids Fest was established in 2013 through the leadership of longtime friend of the Perry Public Library John Glass of Perry.
