To the editor:
A film I viewed last night is one of the best written and acted I’ve seen in years.
Granted, there are several movies out based on the life of the eccentric American billionaire Howard Hughes, but “Rules Don’t Apply” is the most touching among them all.
It is written and produced by Warren Beatty, who also plays Hughes. The characters are believable, the dialogue within normal bounds and the situations quite plausible.
If it isn’t an accurate portrayal of Howard Hughes, it ought to be. I would consider it no small slight if it weren’t nominated for at least one Oscar.
I heartily recommend it.
