Maddie Cakes Bakery is closing its storefront operation after nine and a half weeks of selling cupcakes and sweet rolls in downtown Perry.
“This is not the update we were hoping to have to give,” said the Maddie Cakes Bakery post on Facebook Tuesday evening. “We are sad to see the store leave, but unfortunately this is how it had to be.”
Maddie Cakes Bakery proprietors Maddie Kelderman and Brandon Kelderman opened for business Oct. 28 in the storefront at 1014 Second St.
The bakery will continue its home-based sales and pop-up sales, the post said. Gift cards will still be honored for sales and custom orders.
“We have had a great turnout with this community and have still been continuing to sell out almost every day!” said the Maddie Cakes Bakery post on Facebook.
