MADRID, Iowa — The Madrid AMVETS Post 210 awarded six $300 scholarships Wednesday to deserving students.
“Because of the generous donations from businesses and to all of the people who support our Post 210 by buying our Valentine raffle tickets, we were able to do this,” said First Vice Commander Michael J. Nieland.
Madrid AMVETS Adjutant Jared Simmons presented the scholarships to McKenna Carroll, Marissa Dodds, Corbin Hanza, Jeslyn Hanza, Wyatt Kniffen and Hattie Ruhland.
