December 26, 2017
- An officer was dispatched to a gas drive off at a local gas station. With the time delay, the officer asked for a deputy to attempt to locate the vehicle since it was registered from Pocahontas.
- An officer did paperwork for the Boone County Attorney and the Department of Justice after receiving a cash forfeiture from a drug-related search warrant in town.
- An officer received a call of a possible intoxicated driver on Iowa Highway 210. The officer stopped to talk to the driver, and everything checked okay.
- An officer followed up with a subject regarding a past assault and domestic incident and received more information that will be passed along to the Boone County Attorney’s office regarding the case.
December 27, 2017
- An officer assisted the county with a vehicle in the ditch at 290th Street and Iowa Highway 17. All county officers were tied up on other calls.
- An officer responded to 500 block of W. Fifth Street and assisted a resident who was locked out of a house.
December 28, 2017
- An officer spoke to a child riding a motorcycle on the roadway in the 900 block of S. State Street. The officer asked a group of people doing work on the house to have him keep it off the roadway.
- An officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on a medical call in the 600 block of Maverick Lane.
December 29, 2017
- An officer responded to a minor property-damage accident. Minor damage was done to a vehicle and a state highway sign. the Boone County Sheriff’s Office notified the Iowa Department of Transportation of sign.
- Officer responded to Maverick Lane for a report of two intoxicated females attempting to gain entry into a duplex in order to assault the occupant. Upon officers’ arrival, the complainant said they had all talked, and matters had settled down, and they did not wish to pursue any police action.
December 30, 2017
- An officer assisted with a medical call in the 900 block of S. Kennedy Avenue.
- An officer was notified of a vehicle that struck a parking bollard in a commercial parking lot. It appeared there was no intent of striking the pole, and no investigation was necessary.
- An officer responded to the are of the Boone County/Polk County line regarding a report of a male running along the highway and acting suspicious. The officer was unable to locate the individual.
December 31, 2017
- An officer assisted the Madrid Volunteer Fire Department in the 100 block of Jonathon Drive on a fire alarm. Everything checked out okay.
- An officer assisted a Madrid resident with jump starting a vehicle.
