One complaint alleged the dog was aggressive toward another dog that was legally being walked on a leash while it was off its property. The officer warned the owner that the dog must be kept on a leash and on its own property.

- An officer received a report of a dog running in the 100 block of Delander Street. The officer received several other complaints on this animal in the past. The officer spoke to a Madrid resident who reported the same dog came into her yard on Wednesday night and growled at her and acted aggressively. The officer will speak to the Humane Society about the animal continuously running at large in the area.
- An officer removed a junk vehicle from the 300 block of N. Market Street at the owner’s request.
- An officer dealt with a parking issue in the 100 block of S. Market and Main streets. The officer left business cards on both doors.

- An officer was requested to do a walk through at a local lounge regarding several males with an outstanding bar tab who appeared as though they may leave without paying due to a possible language barrier. Upon the officer’s arrival, the bill was paid and they left.

- An officer received a complaint of parking in the 400 block of W. Fourth Street.
- An officer spoke to a resident regarding several juveniles placing garbage in her mailbox. The officer advised all parties.
- An officer performed a vehicle unlock on E. North Street.
- An officer cleared a residence after a neighbor noted the back door ajar. There were no signs of foul play, and the owners were notified.

- An officer responded to a report of a 10-year-old walking southbound on Iowa Highway 17 south of Madrid. The officer located the person, who was identified as a 34-year-old male. The man did not have a vehicle and was attempting to get to Urbandale to pay respects at a gravesite. The officer gave him a ride to Granger.
- An officer responded to a domestic disturbance call on E. First Street. It was determined to be a verbal only altercation between a boyfriend and girlfriend. The male agreed to leave for the night, and the officer assisted in getting a sober driver to pick him up.

- An officer stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of W. Fifth Street. The driver was warned for improper tail lamps.
