Mary “Phyllis” McDowell, 75, of Perry died July 17, 2023, at her home in Perry, Iowa.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 at the Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Family greeting hours will be from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 21 at the First Christian Church in Perry.
Phyllis is survived by her mother, Colleen Paulson of Emmetsburg; son, Chris McDowell of Des Moines; daughter, Colleen Weir of Perry; grandchildren, Maddi (Avery) Cross, Sara (Cruz) Weir, Abbi (Taevis) Weir, Riley McDowell, Ashley Sims, Kourtney Harding and Eli Ballard; great-grandchildren, Olyvia Cross, Isaac Sanchez, Anthony Sanchez and Noelle Sims; brothers, Keith Paulson of Virginia Beach and J.B. Paulson of Wallingford; sisters, Linda (Greg) Luethje of Cedar Falls and Jenny Williams of Davenport; and sister-in-law, Kathy Otten (Denny) of Linn Grove.
