Michael L. Miller, 73, passed away quietly on Saturday, July 19, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Mike was born Sept. 14, 1951 in Boone, Iowa, to Virgil Miller and CeLesta (Davis) Miller.
He attended school in Ogden and then Linden, graduating high school at Panora-Linden, where he played baseball and football.
Mike began his work career with Oscar Mayer in Perry.
He then returned to school, advancing his career with Todd’s LTD in Des Moines, Roberts Dairy in Omaha and Mrs. Clark’s Foods in Ankeny in purchasing management positions.
Mike enjoyed being with his family and friends and doting on his nieces and nephews.
His great joys were outdoors, fishing, biking, motorcycling and golfing. He was also a car buff, and especially proud of his ’55 Corvette.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sister, Christine; and niece, Celeste.
Mike is survived by his sister, Pamela (Lynn) Davis; brothers, Dwight Miller and Mark (Paula
O’Hare) Miller; sisters, Angela (Richard) Tuthill and Kelli (Travis) Mckean; five nieces; two
nephews; and a great-niece.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, August 22 from 10-11 a.m. at the
Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at 1006 Sixth St. in Boone, followed by a graveside inurnment service at 11:30 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at 1718 L Ave. in Boone, with the Rev. Brian Bopp officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at
