Beginning Monday, Feb. 5, Minburn Communications in Woodward will operate out of temporary office space at 216 S. Main St. in Woodward, just south of the U.S. Post Office.
The short-term move accommodates the renovations planned at the telephone and internet company’s regular offices at 100 S. Main St. in Woodward. Enhancements to the Woodward warehouse are also planned. The remodelling work is expected to be completed by the fall.
“We are experiencing growing pains due to the success of the organization,” said Minburn Communications General Manager and CEO Deb Lucht. “From customer base and communities served to staff and facilities, we are expanding. The current space no longer accommodates the technologically advanced solutions and services offered by Minburn Communications.”
During the transition in the Woodward offices, an after-hours drop box for payments will not be available.
The changes in Woodward will not impact the staff or operations at the Minburn Communications office in Minburn, located at 416 Chestnut St., where customer support services and a drop box for after-hours payments are still available. The company also has facilities in Perry.
“Enhancing the Woodward building will allow for growth while enabling the company to consolidate operations for better efficiencies and reduce our overall cost of operations,” Lucht said. “Once complete, all departments and their functions will be managed from the new facility. This will allow us to be more streamlined and efficient to ultimately better serve our customers and our communities.”
The upgraded Woodward office will feature a community meeting room that will accommodate up to 50 people and include conferencing equipment. Improvements to the warehouse include expanding the storage space and modernizing the facility, with a temperature-controlled environment for housing electronics and other equipment.
Lucht said improvements at the Minburn and Perry facilities are also part of the company’s future plans.
