The city of Perry has hired a new manager for the Housing and Development Department.

Molly Milosevich, a Jefferson native and graduate of Greene County High School, brings four years of government planning experience to the Perry position, according to a statement issued Friday by the city.

Her most recent role was assistant planner for the city of Grimes. She earned a bachelor of science degree from Iowa State University in community and regional planning, with a minor in environmental studies.

“I am so grateful for this opportunity to work for the City of Perry and its community!,” Milosevich “I hope to use my previous work experience in development to provide a new perspective and assist in growing the community’s vision. It’s a really unique time for Perry, but I think the city has a lot of potential and I am so excited to be a part of exploring that.”

Perry City Administrator Sven Peterson said Milosevich will play a key role in Perry’s Community and Economic Development Department and in executing the Perry
Comprehensive Plan.

“We’re thrilled to have Molly Milosevich join our team as the Housing and Development Manager,” Peterson said. “Her passion for community revitalization and her innovative approach to sustainable growth align perfectly with Perry’s vision. Molly’s expertise will be instrumental in shaping our city’s future. Welcome aboard, Molly!”

Peterson said Milosevich will coordinate all development within the city, including overseeing and developing Perry’s housing programs, enforcing the subdivision, zoning, building and other land-use and development codes and acting as the Planning and Zoning Administrator.
