Nancy Joan Hilpipre, daughter of Carl and Violet Hudgins, was born June 2, 1931, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She passed away Feb. 22, 2022, at Eden Acres in Perry, Iowa, at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 20 days.
Nancy grew up and went to school in Eagle Grove.
After graduation she worked at a local dry cleaner, and grocery store.
Nancy was united in marriage with Lloyd Hilpipre on Aug. 6, 1958, in Blue Earth, Minnesota.
Llyod and Nancy moved to Bellflower, California, in 1964, where she worked as a drug store pharmacy clerk for 20 some years. Following retirement in 1991, they moved back to Iowa and made their home in Perry.
Nancy enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time her family, especially her dogs, whom she loved so much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, in 2008; parents; son, Robert, in infancy; and sister, Ruth Freeman.
Nancy is survived by her brother, Jerry (Phyllis) Hudgins of North Carolina; sisters, Mary Jane Hilpipre of Minburn, Donna Arthur of California and Carla (Donald) Sheriff of Missouri; many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Her family would like to thank the staff at the Perry Lutheran Homes Eden Acres and Suncrest Hospice for their care and support.
