Christian Matthew Holtz, 21, of Ankeny was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Tuesday for probation violation.

An Ankeny man who threatened in March 2020 to shoot everyone in the Waukee High School was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Tuesday for allegedly making new threats of violence.

Isaac Quinton Holtz, who has legally changed his name to Christian Matthew Holtz, 21, of 1901 W. First St., Ankeny, was convicted of threat of terrorism in August 2020 in Dallas County District Court and placed on probation for three years.

According to court records, Holtz allegedly recently asked a fellow Casey’s employee, “What would you do if an employee or I bombed or shot the building?” Holtz allegedly made other “statements of violence,” including “telling another employee that ‘he would punch her in the vaginal area because she has tattoos, and tattoos are not Christian.'”

Holtz’s probation officer received a report April 10 about his statements and began an investigation. “It should be noted while this investigation was going on,” the probation officer informed the court, Holtz “took it upon himself to show up to the Casey’s headquarters, which did alarm staff.” Holtz “has since been fired and trespassed from all Casey’s properties.”

In requesting a warrant be ordered for Holtz’s arrest, the probation officer reminded the court that Holtz made statements in November 2020 about returning to Waukee High School on the anniversary of his shooting threat and was “trying to make personal contact with the governor” in December 2020.

Following these incidents, Holtz was directed by the court to wear a GPS bracelet and “ordered to complete a new psychological evaluation, which indicated at that time no further treatment would be beneficial,” according to court records. Holtz “was just removed from GPS” on April 6.

“This officer is looking for guidance from the courts in these matters,” the probation officer told the court. “Defendant’s behavior is leading this officer to have concerns over the safety of the community. Defendant is on probation for a serious and similar incident as those that he has continued to do.”

A warrant for Holtz’s arrest was ordered April 18 in Dallas County District Court and served April 26. Holtz is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a probation violation hearing May 6 in Dallas County District Court.
