Private family graveside services for Norma “Jean” Renshaw of Perry and formerly of rural Dallas Center will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery.

Jean passed away Monday, May 4, 2020, at the Rowley Masonic Community in Perry, Iowa, at the age of 91.

Norma Jean Agnes Renshaw was born Jan. 24, 1929, in Atlantic, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Agnes (McCurdy) Bannick.

She attended Washington Township School.

Jean married the love of her life, Donald Dean Renshaw, on Jan. 24, 1947. They were married nearly 72 years at the time of his passing in 2018.

They loved to travel and had taken many memorable trips.

Jean was a very active member at Trinity Lutheran Church and prepared many funeral meals and church dinners before her health could not let her do so.

She was a very good cook and loved cooking for her family and friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Janet (Larry) Clark of Cumming, Iowa; two sons, Larry Renshaw of Dallas Center and Vern (Deanna) Renshaw of Minburn; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie VanGundy, June Myers and Kay Parmer; and one brother, Roger Bannick.

Preceding Jean in death were her parents; husband, Donald; and three sisters, YeWanna Payton, Pearl Trent and Alice Bannick.

Memorials will be directed in Jean’s name to Hospice of the Midwest, 103 N. Fourth St., Guthrie Center, IA 50115. Condolences to the family may be sent to Murdock Funeral Home or online condolences may be left at murdockfuneralhome.net .

  1. To the Renshaw family. So sorry for the death of your mom, especially during this crazy time. Remember all the fun times with my folks and Daryl’s folks in the years of Minburn activities. May she Rest In Peace and you all may take comfort in that. God bless
