August 29, 2016

  • An officer assisted a motorist locked out of vehicle.
  • An officer stood by for a child-custody exchange.
  • An officer received a report of a suspicious vehicle continuously driving on west Division Street at different hours of the day.

August 30, 2016

  • An officer received a report of a subject parked by the Northern Natural Gas pump station at N.W. Eight and Vine streets. The subject was waiting for someone.
  • An officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of S.W. Third Street. There was less than $1,500 damage, so no state report was filed.
  • An Ogden resident reported that she received a phone call claiming she won $500 million. The caller asked her to send $500 on a Green Dot Card from Wal Mart. The female did not send the money or give any information because she knew this was a scam.
  • An officer responded to a report of a vehicle that hit the median in the 100 block of N. First Street. The officer located the driver of the vehicle, Scott Perdue, who was driving a 2008 Ponitac and was distracted while turning the corner and struck the median and one of the posts. There was approximately $5,000 damage to the Pontiac and approximately $300 damage to the signs in the median. Perdue was charged with driving while suspended.
  • An officer responded to an intrusion alarm at an Ogden business. This was determined to be a false alarm.

August 31, 2016

  • The Boone Area Humane Society called and said they received a report of dogs with no food or water at an Ogden residence. The officer advised the dogs are fed and watered.

September 1, 2016

  • An officer received a complaint of a male subject acting strangely at the Peoples Savings Bank ATM. The subject was having trouble getting money, and the officer advised him to stop back in the morning when the bank was open, and they would assist him.
  • An officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Howe Elementary School. This was determined to be a false alarm.
  • An officer received a complaint of someone trying to enter an apartment at 245 W. Walnut Street. The officer was unable to locate anyone in or around the building.
  • An Ogden resident filed a complaint for the second time regarding a rooster crowing at 425 N. First Street. The officer advised the owner of the rooster that the rooster must immediately leave Ogden.
  • An officer spoke with resident at 526 N.E. Second St. about her rooster. The officer advised her the rooster must leave town immediately.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with an accident in the 600 block of 220th Street.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
