February 12, 2018

  • No reported activity.

February 13, 2018

  • An officer assisted someone locked out of a vehicle.
  • An officer was called to the Ogden High School regarding a student who had a pocket knife in a backpack. The knife was not being used in a threatening manner. The student forgot the knife was in his backpack. The parents were notified, and this will be handled by school personnel per policy handbook.
  • An officer received a complaint of snow not being cleared from a sidewalk. The officer spoke with a resident, who was advised to clear the snow from the sidewalks.

February 14, 2018

  • An officer received a parking complaint in the 300 block of W. Walnut Street.
  • A caller said he fell on ice in front of a building in the 300 block of W. Walnut Street. An officer notified the owner of the building.
  • An officer assisted someone who came to the Police Department and requested information about a veterinarian.
  • An officer responded to a report of a possible domestic disturbance at 232 S.W. Sixth St.,  building 2, #4. The suspect left before the officer’s arrival.

February 15, 2018

  • A Boone County Deputy responded to a domestic situation at 420 N.E. Third St. This was a verbal argument only, but the female did go to hospital to be checked due to the fact that she is pregnant.
  • An officer was asked to return a phone call regarding a landlord who let cats out of an apartment and the complainant cannot find them.
  • An officer received a complaint of female adult yelling at children in the 200 block of E. Walnut Street.
  • An officer was asked to assist an elderly male who fell and needed help getting up. Two passersby helped lift the man prior to officer’s arrival.

February 16, 2018

  • Someone reported he received a phone claiming that he was going to be arrested if he didn’t call a number. An officer advised this was a phone scam and not to call the number back.
  • An officer retrieved an item from a pawn shop that was reported stolen from Ogden.

February 17, 2018

  • A Boone County Deputy responded to an intrusion alarm at the Ogden High School. The building was secure, and no key holder showed up. This was determined to be a false alarm.
  • An officer responded to an accident in the 200 block of N.W. Seventh St. Kevin Langel, 25, of Ogden was northbound on N.W. Seventh Street in his 2013 Ford and as he was turning west into the alley, his vehicle slid on the snow and made contact with a utility pole. The pole broke off at the ground and fell into the street. The light fixture and transformer tub on the pole were destroyed. There was an estimated $2,000 damage to Langel’s vehicle and an estimated $10,000 damage to the utility pole.
  • A Boone County Deputy assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County EMS with a  person who fell at the Spinning Wheels Skating Rink.
  • A Boone County Deputy responded to a call at 202 S.W. Sixth St. regarding a landlord/tenant dispute. The deputy advised the parties it was a civil issue and to contact an attorney.

February 18, 2018

  • An officer received a parking complaint in the 500 block of W. Locust Street.
  • An officer investigated a trespassing and criminal mischief complaint in the 100 block of W. Walnut Street. The officer spoke to two juveniles who were involved.
  • A Boone County Deputy investigated a civil matter at 202 S.W. Sixth St.
  • A Boone County Deputy investigated a noise complaint in the area of Ogden. The deputy was unable to locate the noise.
  • A Boone County Deputy handled a barking-dog complaint at 720 S.W. Fourth St.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
