October 31, 2016

  • An officer investigated a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver on U.S. Highway 169. The officer located the driver, and he was okay.
  • An officer received a complaint of a wild animal running around by the Methodist Church.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of vehicle without tail lights on U.S. Highway 30. The officer never located the vehicle.
  • An officer secured an open building in the 600 block of W. Walnut Street.

November 1, 2016

  • An officer received a complaint of a subject going door to door and selling vacuums. The officer attempted to locate the subject to see if he had a permit, but was unable to locate the subject.

November 2, 2016

  • An officer spoke with a subject who has been parking in the driveway of the Leonard Good Community Center. The officer advised the subject to park in the parking lot except when the Center is in use and during snow events prior to the lot being cleared.
  • An officer provided traffic control in the 800 block of N. First Street while a farmer moved cattle across the road.
  • An officer responded to the Howe School for a child out of control.

November 3, 2016

  • An officer and a Boone County Deputy Sheriff assisted a Boone County Ambulance at 420 W. Veterans Dr.
  • An officer picked up a male boxer/mix dog caught running loose with no collar in the 400 block of N.W. Third Street. The officer took the dog to the city kennel to see if owner would claim it.
  • An officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Vision Bank. The alarm was set off accidentally by an employee.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with picking up a subject on a committal order.
  • An officer found an open door to a business. The officer notified the owner of the building, and it was secured.

November 4, 2016

  • An officer received a complaint from a subject who said he just received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS, who said if he didn’t send a check, there would be a warrant issued for his arrest. The officer advised the complainant that this is a phone scam and to never send money from a phone call.
  • An officer received a complaint of juveniles in the area of the Ogden Middle School using profanity toward other juveniles. The officer spoke with several juveniles in the area, and nobody admitted to using any profanity. The complainant couldn’t identify who was using the profanity. The officer told the children that if they were using profanity, they must stop.
  • An officer found an open door to an Ogden business. The owner advised the officer to secure.

November 5, 2016

  • An officer received a complaint of a dog running loose in the 300 block of S.W. Third Street. The officer notified the owner, and he came home and put dog back inside a fenced enclosure.
  • Officers assisted a stranded motorist with a flat tire.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with an accident at L Avenue and 216th Street, where the driver had fled the scene.

November 6, 2016

  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with a domestic situation in Pilot Mound.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at 349 S. First St.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at 114 W. Sycamore St.
  • An officer received a report of citizens at 425 N.E. Third St. burning leaves on the asphalt street. The officer had the people remove the leaves from the asphalt.
  • An officer received a complaint of a possible violation of a civil order.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
