
GLIDDEN — The regular season ended Thursday for the Panorama baseball team with a 13-8 loss at Glidden-Ralston, a setback which followed a 13-3 win, in five innings, over the Woodward Academy Wednesday.
Panorama (4-17) and G-R (4-18) both produced 13 hits in their outing, but Panther pitchers simply could not consistently throw the ball in the strike zone and issued a 15 walks.
Koltin Sloss was handed the loss after tossing 1-2/3 frames. He allowed four runs (one earned) on just one hit but walked six batters while striking out two. Justin Rolfes also walked six and fanned two while yielding four runs (three earned) on eight hits in three innings on the mound while Jeramy Randol was touched for five runs in 1-1/3 innings of work, during which he allowed four runs while issuing three walks and striking out two.
Randol did his part to overturn the damage at the plate by belting a home run and adding a single, driving in three runs while scoring once.
Luke South had a single, a double and scored twice, with Jacob Iseminger adding a single, a double, a run and a RBI while Rolfes provided two hits. Sloss scored twice and drove in a pair of runs with two hits while Dylan Douglass, Levi Richey and Tanner Godfrey all hit singles. Godfrey scored twice, with Richey recording a RBI.
Hunter Holmes earned the win against the Academy. He yielded three runs on three hits and six walks in four innings of work and struck out three. Iseminger had one strikeout while tossing an inning of relief.
Iseminger drove in four runs with a single and a double, with Rolfes adding two hits and a RBI while South had two hits, two walks and stole three bases. SLoss, Randol, Noah Kirtley and James Stagg each had RBI-singles for the Panthers.
Benny Barroso, Richey, South and Rolfes each scored twice, with Victor Barroso, Godfrey, Randol, Sloss and Iseminger also touching the plate.
Panorama plays host IKM-Manning at 7 p.m. tonight in a Class 2A District 15 First Round game. Underwood will face AC/GC in the 5 p.m. game.
The winner of the first game will play West Central Valley while the victor of the nightcap draws Tri-Center in the semifinal round. Those games will be played, at 5 and 7 p.m., Tuesday in Neola.
