
JEWELL — The Panorama cross country teams made a long trek north Thursday to run at the South Hamilton Invitational.
Roland-Story edged Panorama, 36-44, for the top spot in the girls varsity action, with AC/GC third at 87 points, A total of eight teams were in action.
Panther senior Ella Waddle broke the tape, winning the race in 20 minutes, 27.4 seconds. Gwen Steffen was fifth overall in 21:28.58, with Payton Beckman 10th in 21:51.08. Also scoring where Olivia Steffen (11th, 21:58.76) and Mia Waddle (17th, 22:19.29), with Leah Fett (37th, 25:04.15), Avery Bahrenfuss (43rd, 25:42.38), and Deana Solorzano (27:37.25) also on the course.
Madrid (20), East Marshall (85), and AC/GC (87) were the top trio in the boys varsity team race.
Avery Norman (20:49.09), Ryan McCarthy (21:46), and Paul Hanson (23:53.3) ran for the Panorama boys varsity.
Seventh-grader Dyan Donovan ran in the two-mile middle school race for the Panther boys, finishing in 18:53.47. Fellow grade seven harriers Mary Fett (15:53.95), Maggie McCarthy (15:54.85), and Ella Carico (18:58.98) competed for the Panther girls.
