Panorama runs at PCM Invite

PRAIRIE CITY — The Panorama harriers journeyed to PCM Thursday for their most recent action, with Panther girls placing second and the boys 10th.

Des Moines Roosevelt won the girls side with 28 points, with Davis County edging Panorama for second after both had 91 points because the sixth runners were 29th and 47th, in favor of the former.

Ella Waddle was fourth overall in 20 minutes, 40 seconds, with Payton Beckman 17th in 22:39 and Gwen Steffen 18th in 22:47. Olivia Steffen (21st) and Lydia Lindstrom (31st) also scored after crossing in 23:04 and 23:59, respectively. Leah Fett (47th, 25:56) and Abby Cobb (48th, 35:58) also ran for the varsity, with Jaden Johnson (31:41) in action for the junior varsity.

DMC swamped the boys race with 18 points, with Davis County (72) and Knoxville (75) placing 2-3. Panorama was 10th of 10 with 231 points.

Emry Colby (30th, 20:29), Landon Goodenberger (40th, 21:03), Brayden Hoffman (46th, 21:35), Avery Norman (50th, 21:48) and Declan McCarthy (65th, 23:02) scored for the Panther boys. Also running for the varsity were Alec Mills (67th, 23:31) and Logan Christe (68th, 24:40), with Conor McCarthy (24:07) and Paul Hansen (25:51) competing for the JV.
