NEOLA — Senior Abby Cobb set new Panorama girls golf school records Monday at Quail Run while advancing to the Class 2A girls state tournament.
Cobb was sixth overall with 42-44–86. Her front nine 42 is a new school low for nine holes, with her final card of 86 four strokes better than the former school mark set in 1997 by Mary Rossow.
Van Meter (344) and Treynor (360) advanced as teams, with Woodward-Granger (382), Shenandoah (393) and Red Oak (418) also competing.
Kylie Carey (70) and London Wille (76) of Van Meter were the two low scorers.
Cobb will tee it up June 1-2 at the American Legion course in Marshalltown. The Panther girls are coached by Melissa Hochstetler.
