KIMBALLTON — An 11-hit assault was just enough to carry Panorama to a 6-5 win over Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton in the regular season finale for both softball teams Friday.
Panorama (11-20) received four singles from Lydia Knapp and three from Hannah Woodworth, with Kennedy Andersen driving in three runs with a single and a double. Vallerie Storesund and Lindsey VanGundy also had hits for the Panthers, with Woodworth collecting a RBI.
Four Spartans had two hits apiece as the hosts posted nine hits off Knapp, scoring five times. One of the E/EH-K runs was unearned.
Knapp picked up the win, striking out eight and walking five in going all seven innings.
Macy Emgarten pitched all seven frames for the home team. She yielded six runs (three earned) on 11 hits while walking one batter and striking out two.
