Panthers fall on road to Hawks in conference play

WOODWARD, IOWA — Panorama was unable to scratch together a WCAC victory Tuesday, falling 3-0 to host Woodward-Granger in league volleyball.

The loss came on scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-14 and dropped the Panthers to 6-15 overall and 3-5 in WCAC play. The Hawks improved to 8-17 and 7-1 with the victory.

Jaidyn Sellers had six kills to pace the Panorama attack, with Grace Webner and Jazmyn Sellers having three apiece, Tyme Boettcher two and Jasmarie Flanery one.

Mollie Monthei passed out 13 assists, with Carley VanGundy and Jazmyn Sellers posting one each.

The defense was led by Boettcher’s 13 digs, with Jazmyn Sellers making eight. Six digs apiece came from Webner and Jaidyn Sellers and five each from VanGundy, Monthei and Flanery.

Panorama was 40-of-46 (87 percent) serving with four aces. Monthei led the way at 12-13-1 with Flanery 7-8-1 and Jaidyn Sellers 4-5-2. Jazmyn Sellers served 7-of-9, Webner 5-of-6 and Boettcher 5-of-5.

Panorama visits Des Moines Christian tonight in their regular season finale.
