Warm-hearted witches Cathy Clark, left, and Shirley Ehlers joined the spooks Friday morning at the Perry Perk coffeehouse.

A huge crowd gathered in downtown Perry late Friday afternoon for the annual Spooktacular Halloween celebration from 4-6 p.m., with innumerable costumed youngsters — and a good number of made-up adults — parading along Second and Railroad streets.

The fun continued from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Dallas County Hospital Safe and Healthy Halloween celebration, with trick-or-treaters enjoying the first inside-the-hallway Halloween since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The holiday celebrations continued from 6-8 p.m. with community-wide Beggars Night trick or treating.

ThePerryNews.com wishes its spooky readers a happy Halloween!
