Firefighters with the Perry Volunteer Fire Department conducted a controlled burn of a condemned house at 1618 Dewey Ave. Saturday morning.
The two-story, 107-year-old residence, owned by Alan and Arcelia Aguilar of Perry, was badly damage by a falling tree in the August 2020 derecho wind storm that devastated Perry’s urban tree canopy.
The firefighters also used the occasion for training purposes.
