Perry junior varsity wrestlers compete in Saturday invitational

DES MOINES — A full compliment of junior varsity grapplers from Perry competed at the Des Moines North/Hoover JV Invite Saturday.

Jeb Stewart was 3-0 for Perry with one win by pin and two by decision, with Bryan Funez finishing 4-1 with four victories by pinfall.

Jonathan Silva and Francisco Colin were both 2-1 for Perry, with each winning twice by pinfall, while Daniel Brinton was 2-1 with a pin and a decision.

Cesar Ramirez and Riece Graham had one win by decision and one lose apiece as each finished 1-1, with Rodrigo Guevara 1-2 with a pinfall victory and Cori Alamina 1-3 with a win by pin.

Also in action for the JV Jays but unable to tally a victory were Leonard Jacobson, Rylee Ray, Tucker Strough, Jason Zepeda and Charley Guardado.
