The city of Perry and its engineering consultants, Bolton and Menk, received the prestigious 2024 Paving Program Award at the 69th annual Asphalt Paving Association of Iowa convention in Des Moines Dec. 11-12.

“This recognition is a testament to the exceptional quality of the asphalt paving completed across the community this summer,” said Perry Mayor Dirk Cavanaugh, who accepted the award along with Perry Public Works Director Josh Wuebker and Assistant Public Works Director Mike Landals and Bolton and Menk engineers Kendall Ansel and Jacob Ahrens.

Cavanaugh said the award highlights Perry’s commitment to maintaining and improving its infrastructure, ensuring safe and smooth roads for all residents and visitors.

“The paving projects, which were carried out with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to the highest standards, have significantly enhanced the overall driving experience in Perry,” he said.

Perry looks forward to future projects that will further enhance the quality of life for residents, the mayor said.
