The Perry Lutheran Homes announced Monday the launch of a new in-home care program as an extension of the compassionate, Christ-centered care the Perry Lutheran Homes is known for.
With its extensive background in care services and nearly 70 years of direct care experience, the Perry Lutheran Homes said its in-home care is designed to provide heartfelt, meaningful living for individuals in the comfort of their own homes.
“Our home-care services bring comfort and peace of mind,” said Jennifer Rothfus, admissions coordinator at the Perry Lutheran Homes. “Knowing that mom or dad is eating well, receiving daily support and experiencing meaningful connection eases the worry. Through these visits, we truly become an extension of the family — ensuring safety, dignity and companionship as long as they can remain safely at home.”
The personalized in-home care services are available to older adults and individuals living within a 25-mile radius of Perry, including Perry, Minburn, Dallas Center, Granger, Woodward, Bouton, Dawson, Jamaica, Rippey, Angus, Berkley, Ogden, Panora, Adel, Grand Junction, Jefferson, Yale and more. The program’s goal is to support aging in place while enriching lives.
“The Perry Lutheran Homes’ in-home care offerings are customized to each individual’s needs, preferences and social history,” Rothfus said. “Caregivers are carefully trained, screened, bonded and insured to ensure clients receive the highest level of professionalism and safety.”
In-home care services will include:
- Companionship and life engagement – Connection through personal interests, social outings, visits to favorite places, meaningful conversation and intergenerational visits.
- Daily lifestyle support – Morning/evening routines, light housekeeping, transportation, errands, grocery shopping and pet care.
- Wellness and safety – Medication and meal reminders, in-home safety assessments, support with exercise and stretching and family care planning services.
- Memory care support – Dementia-trained practitioners provide compassionate and customized care and stimulation for individuals with memory loss.
- Spiritual and emotional wellbeing – Daily prayer, devotions, access to online worship and visits from Perry Lutheran Homes’ pastoral staff or deaconess.
“What makes this program unique is our whole-person approach,” said the Rev. Max Phillips, executive director of Perry Lutheran Homes. “We care for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each person we serve. Through this ministry, we bring the love of Christ into every home we enter.”
Phillips said choosing the Perry Lutheran Homes’ in-home care means local and reliable service, affordable and flexible plans, experienced and safe caregivers, customized companion and life-engagement plans and faith-based mission.
“Whether someone is recovering from illness, navigating life with memory loss or simply needs extra help to remain safely at home, the Perry Lutheran Homes care companions are here to walk with them and their loved ones every step of the way,” he said.
