Perry man allegedly assaults Perry woman Thursday

Anthony Ramirez, 20, of Perry was arrested Thursday on charges of first-offense domestic assault-bodily injury and child endangerment.

A Perry man was arrested Thursday night after allegedly assaulting his wife.

Anthony Ramirez, 20, of 1722 Third St., Perry, was charged with first-offense domestic assault-bodily injury and child endangerment.

The incident began about 6:15 p.m. Thursday in a vehicle on Estella Street in Perry, where Ramirez allegedly admitted “to back-hand slapping” the victim, according to court records.

Officers of the Perry Police Department made contact with the victim. The officers observed on the victim “a cut to the inside of her lip” and “fresh bruises to her thigh and both of her arms,” according to court records.

The incident occurred in the presence of a 5-year-old child, according to court records.

Ramirez is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $3,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 30 in Dallas County District Court.
