A Perry man was arrested early Wednesday after allegedly assaulting his step-son in the home.

The incident began about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 2900 block of Iowa Street, where officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Gebresslasie “began

A witness at the scene confirmed the victim’s claims, according to court records.

Gebresslasie is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
